EH Construction (Pty) Ltd trading as Excavator Hire (Formerly D & S Machinery and Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd) is a 100% citizen owned company which was established in 1987 as a plant hire firm servicing the construction industry in Botswana. Within a few years the company developed the capacity to undertake jobs such as bush clearing, fencing and road construction. This included activities such as grading, gravelling, layer works and surfacing as well as minor and major concrete works, storm water, sewage works and various types of town and city services.
Today, with an experienced senior management team and a workforce of over 500, the steady growth and development of EH Construction (Pty) Ltd has enabled the company to undertake major projects in the road, water and sewer reticulation, bridge construction, landfills, major building construction, bulk earthworks, shopping mall civil works and infrastructure fields.

Our Contracts Directors / Managers and senior engineers have considerable experience within the Construction Industry all over Botswana. They head a dynamic team comprising of young professionals and older experienced staff. The company has invested considerably in the development of its middle management personnel and takes great pride in its team of Batswana Engineers.
Up to 95% of our personnel are citizens. We have a few expatriates employed for skills which are not available locally. We believe no other company can boast of this achievement.
We have a diverse fleet of plant and equipment from the biggest bulldozer to the smallest concrete mixer. Our equipment resources are able to cope with all aspects of the construction industry. Given that mechanical equipment needs continuous maintenance, we have senior qualified mechanics to maintain all our plant and equipment.
